Body nearly rounded; lips plicate; snout rounded, convex, without transverse furrow nor fleshy appendix at the end; eyes in lateral position; genital orifice far from origin of anal fin; two large pairs of barbels; one lateral dark brown band on each flank (Ref. 26192).
