Dorsal spines (total): 0; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 27. Belly with 17 + 10, total 27 scutes. Upper jaw expanded at tip, appearing to turn down, second supra-maxilla large (longer than pre-maxilla). Gill rakers fine and numerous (90 to 180 on lower arch). Scales moderate; pre-dorsal scales paired and overlapping in midline. Anal fin equal to or a little shorter than head. A dark spot behind opening.
Found in rivers. More specimens and data needed.
