Africa: Cubango, Cunene, Okavango (Ref. 42019) and Cuanza (Ref. 42019, 120641). Also known from the Luembé (Kasai tributary, middle Congo River basin) in Angola (Ref. 42019). Reports from the Luapula and its tributaries need confirmation; reports from Eala (Ruki drainage, middle Congo River basin) and the Lulua River (Kasai drainage) are B. imberi (Ref. 42019).
