Body reddish; scattered with irregular pale blotches and some black dots; a large black patch at the posterior part of dorsal fin from 7th to 10th spines. Mouth oblique; upper jaw reaching below posterior margin of eye (Ref. 43569).
Found on the continental shelf. Benthic (Ref. 75154).
