Etymology: Ossancora: Derived from the Latin oss, meaning bone, and ancora, meaning anchor, in reference to the shape and articulation of the pectoral spine and posterior cleithral and coracoid processes which resemble the shank and flukes, respectively, of a Danforth anchor.
