Short description Identification keys | Morphology | Morphometrics

This species is distinguished from other species of O. angorae group by the following set of characters, none of which are unique: body depth slowly decreasing between the dorsal-fin base and the anterior end of the adipose crest; dorsal and ventral adipose crest elevated and prominent, with a convex margin in most individuals; dorsal adipose crest reaching or exceeding the vertical of the anal-fin base; caudal-fin almost truncate or very slightly emarginate, shortest middle caudal-fin ray 88-98% of the longest ray of the upper caudal-fin lobe; caudal peduncle deep, its depth 1.2-1.6 times in its length; caudal peduncle short, its length 14-18% SL; few isolated scales on the flank in front of the dorsal-fin origin and belly no scales; flank usually with irregularly set and shaped, confluent, small blotches and spots forming a mottled pattern, rarely with larger blotches forming a marbled pattern; dorsal part of the head and the upper part of the cheek with a vermiculate or marbled pattern (Ref. 131061).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = No PD50 data   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00741 (0.00354 - 0.01554), b=3.02 (2.85 - 3.19), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this Genus-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Trophic level (Ref. 69278):  2.8   ±0.3 se; based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Resilience (Ref. 120179):  Medium, minimum population doubling time 1.4 - 4.4 years (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
