Espinas dorsales (total) : 6 - 7; Radios blandos dorsales (total) : 7 - 9; Espinas anales: 1; Radios blandos anales: 9 - 10. A few minute teeth present on vomer, mesopterygoid but none on palatines. Ascending dorsal process of premaxilla short, broad and not entering interorbital space. Body scales with very crenulated posterior edge. Midlateral scale count 33 to 35. Origin of first dorsal from 0.5 to 3 scales in front of vertical through tips of ventrals. Pectoral fin 3.4-3.9 in SL.
