Mjukstrålar i ryggfenan (totalt) : 9 - 10; Mjukstrålar i analfenan: 13 - 15; Ryggkotor: 31 - 32. Possession of greenish blue bars on the ventrolateral portion of the posterior half of male body side; triangular dark gray suborbital mark; scales in the longitudinal series 31-32; anal fin rays 13-15; and absence of an ocellate spot on the caudal fin base in both sexes (Ref. 52503).
Inhabits clear water streams within forest at about 50 cm deep (Ref. 52503). Not a seasonal killifish. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
