Etymology: Neolamprologus: Greek, neos = new + Greek,lampros = torch + Greek, lagos = hare (Ref. 45335); devosi: Named in memory of Luc (Tuur) De Vos, friend and colleague, who dedicated so much of his career to expanding our knowledge of the fishes of East and Central Africa (Ref. 50569).
