Diagnosis: Long-finned, slit-eyed careproct with oblique mouth and no silvery coloration; body laterally compressed and deep, its greatest body depth 145% head length (HL); body depth above the beginning of anal fin 125% HL; ellipsoid; head depth more than its width by 1.8 times; pectoral fin in low position (upper ray at the level of mouth end); base of lower ray of pectoral at the vertical of nostril; eye 19.5% HL); posterior teeth similar in rows longer than anterior teeth; gill slit below the level of middle of eye and 1.7 times greater than its diameter; disc, 20% HL (Ref. 41470).
Found at depths with salinity 34.84 ppt (Ref. 41470).
