This very small species has the following diagnostic characters: abdominal scutes 9-10 + 4-6 = 13-16; gill rakers on lower limb of first gill arch 13; numerous teeth on maxillary bone 25-27 (Ref. 75047).
A gravid female was collected at 2.15 cm SL (Ref. 75047).
