vs. 15.6-17.4 % in Krobia itanyi), dark lateral band reaching to end of dorsal-fin base (vs. ending well before in Krobia itanyi), two prominent dark interorbital stripes (vs. faint or obsolete in Krobia itanyi, absent in Krobia guianensis), slightly curved suborbital stripe (vs. straight); presence of dark brown spot anterolaterally on each side of the lower jaw (vs. absence) (Ref. 89398).
