Etymology: Corydoras: Greek, kory = helmet + greek, doras = skin (Ref. 45335); eversi: Named for Hans-Georg Evers, a great enthusiast in the fishkeeping hobby, especially in the breeding of Corydoras species. He collected the specimens of C. eversi t hat apparently originated all the stock present in the hobby until the present day and also the specimens used herein for the description.
