This species is distinguished by the following characters: no spine on adipose fin; first pectoral radius shorter that head longitude; soft branching radii 9; first radius of pelvic fin does not reach the anus; premaxillary with one bicuspid and 7-8 incisive teeth in the outermost row; first simple radii of caudal fin no extension; fifth cerato-branchial bone with 9 teeth; free vertebrae 26 (Ref. 126791).
