خارهاي باله پشتي (کل) : 0; شعاع نرم باله پشتي (کل) : 70 - 76; خارهاي باله مخرجي: 0; شعاع نرم باله مخرجي: 54 - 63; مهره ها: 46. Dark brown, sometimes with darker specks; dorsal and anal fins with pale edges; right pectoral fin blackish (Ref. 3200).

Occurs in shallow coastal waters. Feeds mainly on bottom-living invertebrates. Marketed fresh.
