Diagnosis: differs from congeners, with the exception of the much vertically-compressed T. depressum, by possessing more body scales with openings for the laterosensory system (49-58)(Ref. 52307).
Rheophilic; pair-bonding, cave spawner (Ref. 52307). Maximum TL was recorded at 11.0 cm (Ref. 5703).
