Eidinemacheilus proudlovei is distinguished from E. smithi by having the following characters: caudal fin with 8+8 or 8+7 branched rays; lack of adipose keel on the caudal peduncle; enlarged jaws; and a fully developed head canal system (Ref. 115525).
Collected from an ephemeral spring close to the village of Kanishok (Ref. 115525).
