背棘 (總數) : 8; 背的軟條 (總數) : 20; 臀棘: 0; 臀鰭軟條: 20 - 23. Color in alcohol: body grey, mottled darker above; prominent black blotch at tip of pectorals; dusky margin at base and dorsally in axil of pectorals; dorsal spines, rays and margin of fin black (Ref. 6630).
