Body moderately elongate and compressed; snout prominent; mouth small and sub-terminal; chin with 4 pores but without barbels; edge of preopercle with 2 strong spines at the angle; lower branch of first gill arch with 18 to 24 gill rakers; second dorsal fin long, with 22 to 26 soft rays; body silvery yellowish without any major distinctive markings; back speckled; fins dark or pale; pelvic fins yellowish; roof of mouth black (Ref. 55763).
身體中等細長與扁長形的; 吻突出的; 嘴小而次端位; 下巴有四個孔但是沒有觸鬚; 邊緣以角前鰓蓋骨有 2個硬棘; 低分支第一個鰓弓有 18 到 24個鰓耙; 第二背鰭鰭長的, 藉由 22 到 26個軟鰭條; 身體銀色的淡黃色的沒有任何的主要特殊的斑紋; 背面小的斑點; 鰭深色或灰白的; 腹鰭淡黃色的; 嘴黑色的頂部.(參考文獻 55763)
Found over muddy and sandy bottoms (Ref. 9118). Feeds mainly on planktonic crustaceans, also worms and other benthic invertebrates (Ref. 9118). Common in local markets (Ref. 9118).
