Descrição breve Chaves de identificação | Morfologia | Morfometria

Espinhos dorsais (total) : 2; Raios dorsais moles (total) : 7; Raios anais moles: 10; Vértebras: 43. Distinguished from all other Mystus (indeed, from all other Asian Bagridae except Bagrichthys hypselopterus) by its extraordinary high dorsal fin, involving great elongation of the non-serrate dorsal fin spine and first three or four soft rays. Within Mystus sensu stricto, mouth relatively narrow (Ref. 10418).

Biologia     Glossário (ex. epibenthic)

Facultative air-breathing in the genus (Ref. 126274); Occur in medium to large-sized rivers (Ref. 12975). Adults feed on crustaceans and benthic invertebrates. Oviparous, distinct pairing possibly like other members of the same family (Ref. 205). Usually marketed fresh (Ref. 12693).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.5000   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00832 (0.00384 - 0.01800), b=2.95 (2.77 - 3.13), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this (Sub)family-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Nível Trófico (Ref. 69278):  3.5   ±0.44 se; based on food items.
Resiliência (Ref. 120179):  Médio, tempo mínimo de duplicação da população 1,4 - 4,4 anos (Assuming Fec < 10,000).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (19 of 100).
