Raggi dorsali molli (totale) : 88 - 90; Raggi anali molli: 68 - 69. Anterior nostril rather high, located about midway between upper lip and posterior nostril. Developed gill raker 3. Opercle with a sharp spine, sometimes embedded in the skin (Ref. 43544).
