Etymology: Iksookimia: A Korean name.
Eponymy: Dr Ik-Soo Kim is a South Korean ichthyologist who is Professor in the Faculty of Biological Sciences, Chonbuk National University, Chonju. [...] Hugo Wolfeld of Bucharest, Romania, was an aquarist. He was described as one of the ‘most able’ of aquarium fish breeders and amateur ichthyologists. The loach was named in his memory.
