Etymology: Allotoca: Greek, allos = other + Greek, tokos = birth (Ref. 45335). The transliterated Latin terminal part of the compound name ('tocus') was changed to 'toca', thus the genus is feminine (Ref. 35111).
Eponymy: José de la Cruz Porfirion Diaz Mori (1830–1915) was President of Mexico (1876–1880 & 1884–1911). (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
