Biology     Glossary (e.g. epibenthic)

Found in the intermediate habitat, which consists of a sandy bottom with numerous rocks (Ref. 46829, 93979). Occurs at depths from 15 to 45 metres and maintains close contact with rocky substrate (Ref. 93979). Crustaceans, insect larvae, copepods, snail fragments, algal strands and sand grains were found in stomach (Ref. 46829, 93979). Highly developed lateral line system as an optimized method of prey detection (Ref. 46829).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.5000   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00389 (0.00180 - 0.00842), b=3.12 (2.94 - 3.30), in cm total length, based on all LWR estimates for this body shape (Ref. 93245).
Trophic level (Ref. 69278):  3.6   ±0.5 se; based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Resilience (Ref. 120179):  High, minimum population doubling time less than 15 months (tm<1).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
