Dorsal spines (total): 0; Anal spines: 0. Head and body usually sparsely or densely covered with epidermal outgrowths or cirri (may be missing in specimens smaller than 3 cm SL); body entirely without scales; abdomen of live fish golden or orange with no other markings (Ref. 47661).
Found mainly in rocky habitats including rapids of the Mekong mainstream and its larger tributaries (Ref. 27661).
