Espinas dorsales (total) : 4; Radios blandos dorsales (total) : 8; Espinas anales: 3; Radios blandos anales: 5. Fresh specimen color dark green dorsally, whitish on sides, and overcast with brassy or golden, especially on belly; top of head and snout blackish with pearly epidermal spots also on suborbital and opercle; fins pale or with roseate flush. 11 scales from nape to dorsal; 2.5 scale rows between ventrals and lateral line. Wide short snout without prominent protuberances.
