Épines dorsales (Total) : 5 - 7; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total) : 35 - 37; Épines anales: 0; Rayons mous anaux: 33 - 35. Body grayish and with seven or eight transverse stripes, becoming upper and lower alternating spots posteriorly. Upper part of head dark. Two or three dark stripes on cheeks. Fins yellow to lemon yellow, becoming lighter towards tips. Caudal fin rounded (Ref. 11892).
