Caudal-fin rays 9; pectoral fin notch distinct, moderately deep; pectoral girdle with 3 round radials; chin pore single, unpaired; gill opening small, entirely above pectoral base, reaching ventrally to level of eye centre; HL 19.7% SL, about equal to its depth; preanal long, 40%; body deep, 132% HL; color solid black; orobranchial cavity and peritoneum black, tongue densely dotted (Ref. 42734).
Found on the continental slope (Ref. 75154). Probably benthic or benthopelagic (Ref. 42734). Largest eggs 1.7 mm in diameter, unripe (Ref. 42734).
