Diagnosis: dorsal fin membrane pale, without dense black band; no strongly marked vertical bars on flanks; males with rows of dark maculae over entire caudal membrane; stressed individuals with characteristic pattern of 2 conjugating longitudinal bands (Ref. 81260).
