Short description

Ryggkotor: 107. Lacks pelvic and caudal fins; pectoral fin not externally visible and made of two small bones; compared to Encheliophis vermicularis, this species has fewer, larger teeth on the dentary (14 versus more than 20) and has 7 branchiostegal rays (versus 6) (Ref. 51068).
The holotype was found in the coelomic cavity of the holothuroid Actinopyga mauritania caught at a depth of 1 m in a lagoon (Ref. 51068).
