Eponymy: Jan Palacký (1830–1908) was a Czech geographer, biogeographer and politician. He was the author of Die Verbreitung der Fische (1895), a work containing a list of the fishes of the Philippines, where the goby holotype was collected. (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
