Spine dorsali (totale) : 1; Raggi dorsali molli (totale) : 6; Raggi anali molli: 6; Vertebre: 31 - 34. Differs from other members of the genus in possessing a narrower nuchal plate (width equal to length vs. width 1.2-1.3 times length); larger eye (13.2-16.3% HL vs. 6.9-12.2) and a longer snout (56.2-60.3% HL vs. 53.9-55.9) , except for Sisor torosus. Can be distinguished further from Sisor rabdophorus and Sisor chennuah in having a narrower head (14.5-14.8% SL vs. 15.1-17.7) (Ref. 55921).
Inhabits swift-flowing rivers with sandy bottoms (Ref. 55921).
