Etymology: Nemacheilus: Greek, nema, -atos = filament + Greek, cheilos = lip (Ref. 45335).
Eponymy: Charles McFarlane Inglis (1870–1954) was a Scottish naturalist and planter, who went to India (1888). He was Curator, Darjeeling Museum (1926–1948). He co-wrote: Birds of an Indian Garden (1924) and two birds and two Odonata are named after him. (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
