简单描述 检索表 | 型态特徵 | 形态测量图

背的软条 (总数) : 10 - 11; 脊椎骨: 40 - 41. Diagnosed from other species of Hemibrycon by having the following characters: first laterosensorial infraorbitals canal in contact with the posterior end of antorbital; tip of the supraoccipital spine widened; posterior end of ectopterygoid failing to come in contact with the quadrate bone (vs. in contact, except Hemibrycon raqueliae); posterior edge of palatine more widened than the anterior edge of ectopterygoid (vs. posterior edge of the palatine approximately the same size, except for Hemibrycon paez). Distinguished from Hemibrycon colombianus by having 40-42 pored scales in the lateral line (vs. 46-54) and 10-14 predorsal scales (vs. 14-18), and from the other species of upper and middle Magdalena drainage Hemibrycon by having 4-6 scales between the lateral line and the pelvic fins (vs. > 6) (Ref. 83529).
