This species is distinguished by the following: distinct occipital pit; cycloid scales; tubular scales in lateral line, 23 + 1; vertical rows of scales on body 45 + 4; monotonous yellowish, spotless coloration on the inside of the pectoral fins and their insertions (Ref. 57925).
