Etymology: Paracobitis: Greek, para = the side of + Greek, kobitis, -idos = a kind of sardine; also related with the voice Greek, kobios, Latin gobius = gudgeon (Ref. 45335); molavii: Named for Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Balkhi, also known as a Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi or simply Mowlavi, Molavi and Rumi, a Persian poet, jurist, theologian and Sufi mystic. A noun in apposition.
Eponymy: Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Balkhi (1207–1273), also known as Molavi, was a Persian poet, theologian and Sufi mystic. (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
