Colouration: first dorsal fin yellow-grey to yellow, basally purple with 1-4 rows of yellow spots; sides of body without an orange-red lateral stripe (Ref. 129594).
Occurs singly or in small groups in silty areas, with sand or mud-bottom or low-relief reef at depths ranging from 30-60 m (Ref. 129594).
