背的软条 (总数) : 104; 臀鳍软条: 53; 脊椎骨: 44. f the following characteristics: eyes large 38.1% HL; head relatively large 25.8% SL; pelvic fin elongated 35.7% SL and small 13.8% SL; vertebrae 44. Colouration pinkish with a darker brownish hue around the dorsal side and brighter dots around the the dorsal-fin bases (Ref. 131551).
Species usually observed resting on the bottom, associated with live or dead coral framework or framework portions (inside, below, or next to); in the absence of framework, next to larger protective structures like hard ground ledges. When threatened (e.g., by the approaching ROV), they attempted to hide in or below protective structures. Observed swimming was fast paced in minimal altitude over ground and along the protective structures (Ref. 131551).
