This species is distinguished by the following set of characters: total vertebrae 116-118, preanal vertebrae 36 or 37; sensory pores in supraorbital series 3 (no pores above eye); sensory pores in infraorbital series 7 or 8 (2 or 3 pores behind eye); no sensory pores on frontal and supratemporal regions; body naked. Colouration: head uniformly brownish; body colour unknown due to abrasion of skin surface during collection, but likely to be uniformly brown (belly darker brown); dorsal and anal fins pale brown to dark brown, with translucent edge; caudal fin
pale brown; oral cavity dark brown (Ref. 129534).
