背棘 (總數) : 42 - 45; 背的軟條 (總數) : 61 - 66; 臀棘: 2; 臀鰭軟條: 51 - 57; 脊椎骨: 111 - 117. Pelvic fins represented by a single spine in juveniles, inserted before the base of the pectoral fins, but entirely absent in adults. Body color is coppery black with iridescent tint. The inside of the mouth and gill cavities black.
腹鰭呈現出在稚魚中的一條硬棘, 在胸鰭的基底之前插入, 但是完全地不存在於成魚。 體色是黃銅色的黑色有彩虹色的色彩。 那在嘴巴與鰓腔黑色之內。
