Dorsale stekels (totaal) : 3 - 5; Dorsale zachte stralen (totaal) : 6 - 9; Anale stekels: 1; Anale zachte stralen: 11 - 14. Second dorsal fin lacking spine.
Inhabit mangrove swamps close inshore. Nothing is known of its biology. This species is too small to be of any commercial value but may be taken as food by young of commercial fish species (Ref. 9836).
